Fellow Aussies Nicole Kidman, Guy Pearce and Hugo Weaving ("Cloud Atlas") are set to star in "Strangerland," an Australian mystery centering on a couple whose teen children get lost in the Outback.
It will be directed by first-time narrative feature helmer Kim Farrant, and is co-penned by Fiona Seres and Michael Kinions, with a production start eyed for March 2014.
Screen Australia is backing, as part of a $32.3 million feature support package. They stated to Variety that "Strangerland" has "strong creative potential and massive A-list festival potential."
