In this week's Oscar Talk Kris Tapley of In Contention and I debate and assess the state of the Oscar race post-nominations and PGA tie. DGA is Saturday.

The race is starting to solidify. But the Best Picture race is intense. Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto are leading. And will there be a Picture/Director split?

Perhaps now that Oscar Talk is only once a month, Anne Thompson could also do some podcasts with her lively and interesting TOH colleagues. I admire Anne's long term professionalism and would be interested in what she has to say with her TOH collaborators.

I think the razzie awards should introduce two new categories: "Worst Category Fraud" (Julia Roberts) and "Worst Awards Snub" (Tom Hanks).

Thankfully, the people who give out the Razzies don't give a rat's ass about things like that.
