Quentin Tarantino at the 'Hateful Eight' live read.

On Easter weekend, Quentin Tarantino staged a sold-out live read of his script for "The Hateful Eight" at Downtown LA's Ace Hotel. Film Independent, which hosted the event, is now selling the script's stylish, one-of-a-kind poster. Check it out below.

"Hateful Eight" has been all-abuzz lately, as Tarantino recently reopened his lawsuit against Gawker, which in January posted a link to a leaked PDF of the Western via its Defamer site, provoking a salvo of finger-pointing.

At the live read event (full report here) Tarantino said he's writing a second draft and might do a third. One of his reps said he's likely to direct the film after all, but is also working on some other scripts that might go first.

In the meantime, you can buy the 16" x 20" poster designed by Matt Owen for $45.00 here.

Uh-oh! Looks like Tarantino's running afoul of Spielberg's "efforts to stop hate." (See two posts above.) When the thought police are done, this will have to be retitled, "The Disdainful Eight."
