Early risers (5:30am PT) on January 25 can watch a live stream of the 83rd Annual Academy Awards nominations announcement. The "Road to the Oscars" package features The Bachelor host Chris Harrison and EW's Dave Karger introing brief clips celebrating 2010 films and a discussion of the year's trends. The nominations will be announced at 5:38 am by Academy president Tom Sherak and Mo'Nique, winner of last year's best supporting actress Oscar for Precious.
The nominations to be announced include: Leading Actor, Leading Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Animated Feature Film, Directing, Foreign Language Film, Adapted Screenplay, Original Screenplay and Best Picture.
Following the announcement, Harrison and Karger will comment on the nominees. In February, Oscar.com will exclusively showcase a "Road to the Oscars" series of ten episodes, hosted by Harrison and featuring Karger's insights on each of the ten films nominated for Best Picture.
The nominations edition of "Road to the Oscars" is exclusively online (sites listed below) and on mobile devices, though the nomination announcement itself will be broadcasted on a number of TV networks.
The Academy Awards are February 27.
