Thompson on Hollywood
Well, if Bruce Robinson's indie film based on Hunter S. Thompson's The Rum Diary didn't make it to Cannes, it wasn't because it wasn't finished.

The film, which returns Johnny Depp to Thompson-land, just earned an R rating "for language, brief drug use and sexuality." But while star Amber Heard does appear in various stages of undress in the film, she asserts that she's never nude, contrary to some prior reports.

If you want more of Heard, who reportedly beat out Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley for The Rum Diary, I hear that she shows more skin in the 2009 Bret Easton Ellis adaptation The Informers, FYI. It's on DVD.
