Sam Mendes Returns to Direct 'Bond 24'

The "will he or won't he" is now over. Director Sam Mendes is confirmed to return to helm "Bond 24."

The newest installment in the 007 franchise, starring Daniel Craig as the eponymous MI6 agent, is set to hit theaters in the UK on October 23, 2015, and in the US on November 6, 2015.

Scribe John Logan (who also wrote "Skyfall") has penned the script.

2012's "Skyfall," directed by Mendes, was the highest-grossing Bond film to date -- and the highest-grossing film of all time in the UK -- amassing $1.1 billion worldwide.

Thompson on Hollywood

Born and raised in Manhattan, Anne Thompson grew up going to the Thalia and The New Yorker and wound up at grad Cinema Studies at NYU.
