As part of Paramount's Shutter Island awards campaign, the American Cinematheque is mounting a two-day (Nov. 13-14) retrospective of director Martin Scorsese and actor Leonardo DiCaprio's partnership, from Gangs of New York and The Aviator to The Departed and Shutter Island. All four films will screen and DiCaprio (in person) and Scorsese (via satellite) will participate in a conversation on November 14.

For their next collaboration, the pair are developing an American remake of Michael Haneke's 2005 French thriller Cache (in which Daniel Auteuil and Juliette Binoche starred), but are both busy with a slew of separate projects. Scorsese is in production on Hugo Cabret and is ramping up Sinatra, and mob drama I Heard You Paint Houses with De Niro, Pacino and Pesci. DiCaprio is starring in Clint Eastwood's Hoover and has The Great Gatsby and several other rumored projects in the works.

More information on the retrospective is here. Pictures after the jump.
