The 18th annual Webby nominations were announced this morning, with Indiewire's parent company, streaming site Snagfilms, snagging a nomination in the Media Streaming Service category. Fans of Indiewire and SnagFilms, please vote so that we can win the Entertainment (Channel) People's Voice Award!

Meanwhile, here's some notable names and companies from the sprawling nominations list:
-Celebrity Nominees: Once again, the world’s most popular and renowned stars continue to push boundaries on the Web. Celebrity nominees include Jay Z, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Kanye West and Ellen Degeneres, among others.
-Mobile Apps and Games: Some of apps and games topping the iTunes and Google Play charts nabbed nominations. QuizUp, Dots, Type: Rider, Badland and Plants vs. Zombies 2 each nabbed nominations, as did popular apps Whisper, Yahoo! Weather, Vince, Airbnb, among others.
-Online Film & Video: Some of the biggest and most innovative videos of the year were nominated, including Jimmy Kimmel’s Worst Twerk Fail EVER, Pharrell’s 24 Hours of Happy, Bob Dylan’s interactive Like a Rolling Stone and Maker Studios’ parody of Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines.
-Viral Ads: Ads that swept the Web in the past year were nominated, including Will Ferrell’s ‘Ron Burgundy’ spot for Dodge Durango, Volvo’s “The Epic Split” featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chipotle’s “The Scarecrow,” and Dove’s “Real Beauty Sketches.”
