Snow White and the Huntsman

It was bound to happen. Two Snow White projects have been defining themselves as special and unique--until commercial reality hits. Relativity's project finallly has a title - Mirror Mirror - and places stars Julia Roberts, Lily Collins and Armie Hammer in a comedy/adventure kid-friendly version of the classic tale (here are pictures). Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman has been declaring itself a more badass rendition, with an edgy Kristen Stewart wearing armor, battling against Charlize Theron, and Chris Hemsworth there to flex his muscles. With this new imagery, it looks like the facade is beginning to fall leaving Huntsman looking like it's only a teen-friendly step above Mirror.

Mirror Mirror is directed by Tarsem Singh, and will be first out of the gate on March 16, 2012. Rupert Sanders' Snow White and the Huntsman is in theaters June 1.

Watch the trailer today and suck on your own words! Still think its a teeny bopper flick???

The insecurity of you all is hilarious. The author said it "looks like the facade is beginning to fall leaving Huntsman looking like it's only a teen-friendly step above Mirror."

Does it not LOOK like that? By looking at this poster, it surely does. The author never says(or even implies) that this is what the film will be like. He simply states that it's what it "looks" like it will be, as that's what the purpose of advertising is, and that's to tell/show you what it's supposed to "look" and/or "feel" like.

The poster is a perfect blend of both impending gloom and rays of hope. I think your claims are ridiculous.

@Zoe, she has been saying the movie looked great off it's other poster art for a while. Curious how you didn't find that snobbish to judge a movie as good based on those other posters. It's only when she says something negative but THIS poster that her opinion is no longer correct. LMAO.

the teaser is out tomorrow so we'll see if it is a replica of Alice or sth else.

I prefer SW and the huntsman. I cannot wait to see stewart and thor together on screen.

    God, you're an insufferable snob.

i'm not really sure how to feel about this movie. there are so many snow white films/shows out now. the background behind snow white looks like the poster on alice in wonderland, and the rest looks like a wannabe lord of the rings. the movie can't be too gory or violent, or they loose their pg13 rating.

You can tell a movie "loses (correct spelling BTW) it's edge" just by looking at a teaser poster? Wow, I'm impressed, not.

  • Becky | November 9, 2011 12:11 PMReply

I really cannot take the opinion of someone who does not know how o are in 'loses' seriously. Maybe go back to English 101.

  • ecc | November 9, 2011 12:06 PMReply

    er, big typo in title.

  • Zoe | November 9, 2011 12:03 PMReply

Judging an entire movie based off of the 1st teaser poster doesn't make you sound like a movie snob at all. Nope not at all.
