No rest for the weary for Morgan Spurlock ("Super Size Me"). He's hitting the road with his latest doc, "Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope" with a multi-city, live road show designed to create a Comic-Con-like experience. Wrekin Hill and National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) are backing the tour which begins April 5 in Atlanta with a screening of the film, exhibitor booths, costumes and panels. NY and LA theatrical and VOD day-and-date releases begin April 6.
The fanboy documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look at San Diego's comics-and-film-nerd mecca. Director-producer Spurlock says: "This film is a geek-tastic celebration of dreams and wonder. Comic-Con is not just an event, it is a state of mind, and this film shows why we love it and what everyone else has been missing."
