"From Up on Poppy Hill"
Studio Ghibli's latest film "From Up on Poppy Hill" looks to be a subtle, melancholic coming-of-age tale reminiscent of some of Ghibli's finest dramas, such as "Whisper of the Heart" and "Only Yesterday." The sprawling American voice cast for the film has just been announced, and includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Ron Howard, Beau Bridges, Christina Hendricks, Chris Noth and Aubrey Plaza.

"Poppy Hill," distributed by GKIDS, is scheduled for a November Oscar-qualifying run (joining an already steep and crowded animation contender field), with a U.S. theatrical release in March 2013.

Full list of English-language voice talent:

  • Gillian Anderson
  • Sarah Bolger
  • Beau Bridges
  • Jamie Lee Curtis
  • Bruce Dern
  • Jeff Dunham
  • Isabelle Furnham
  • Christina Hendricks
  • Chris Noth
  • Ron Howard
  • Emily Osment
  • Aubrey Plaza
  • Chalie Saxton
  • Alex Wolff
  • Anton Yelchin
