Public Sundance ShortsLab Workshop Coming to Los Angeles August 11

The Sundance Institute announces the Los Angeles edition of their public one-day filmmaking ShortsLab workshop will take place on August 11, after their similar events in New York (June) and Seattle (this weekend). Get your tickets here for access and first-hand insight from filmmakers, Sundance staff and alumni, and industry pros in these panels and sessions. Specific details on the Los Angeles workshop below. Several Sundance alumni got their starts with short films, from Wes Anderson, Paul Thomas Anderson and Spike Jonze (who will attend ShortsLab: LA) to Debra Granik, David O. Russell and Tamara Jenkins.

Sundance's Keri Putnam states:

“ShortsLabs are an extension of the more intensive filmmaking Labs Sundance Institute has hosted for more than three decades. ShortsLabs give filmmakers the opportunity to improve their storytelling techniques, learn about the world of production, and explore platforms to showcase their work in an environment that celebrates and fosters individual voices.”
