SXSW will hold over 100 film conference sessions between March 11-19. SXSW chose the panels with the help of the SXSW PanelPicker™ interface, which allows the online SXSW community to exercise their voice in programming selections through submitting proposals and/or voting. Votes and feedback from the Advisory Board and SXSW staff then determine the festival’s final offerings.

The panels target key issues and topics for contemporary filmmakers. The complete lineup is below, and includes “A Conversation with Todd Phillips (The Hangover),” “Straight From the Source (Code)” with director Duncan Jones, and “SUPER-Talented: A Conversation with James Gunn, Ellen Page and Rainn Wilson” on Super (pictured). The newly announced panels, sessions and conversations join the previously mentioned 40 sessions which include Catherine Hardwicke’s Directing Workshop and "The Female Funny: Is it Different for Girls?"

Many of festival director Janet Pierson's favorite moments at SXSW "have included those great connections made in the halls of the Film Conference," she says, "where film professionals of every stripe gather to teach, learn, and compare notes.” The conference sessions allows festival registrants “tremendous access," she adds, "not to mention a taste of all that SXSW Interactive has to offer via the crossover panels, and the SXSW Trade Show, this year featuring original content and entertainment via the Next Stage."
