SXSW 2011: Billy Bob Thornton's Willie Nelson Doc King of Luck To Close Fest, New Titles

The SXSW Film Fest closer on March 19 is Billy Bob Thornton’s The King of Luck (pictured), a documentary about country actor/singer/activist Willie Nelson.

The SXSW Film Fest closer on March 19 is Billy Bob Thornton’s The King of Luck (pictured), a documentary about country actor/singer/activist Willie Nelson.

New titles added to the 2011 festival lineup include Paul Feig’s Bridesmaids (work in progress), starring Kristen Wiig (star and co-writer); Harmony Korine’s short Umshini Wam starring South Africa’s Die Antwoord; and HOLE drummer Patty Schemel documentary Hit So Hard, from director P. David Ebersole (complete list below). The SXSW film program, running March 11-19, now includes 140 features and 153 shorts.
