In the Works: AMC Develops Futuristic Crime Series 'Ballistic City' from 'Pacific Rim' Screenwriter and 'Oblivion' Director

AMC is developing a futuristic sci-fi series, "Ballistic City," to be penned by "Pacific Rim" screenwriter Travis Beacham, with "Oblivion" director Joseph Kosinski attached to act as executive producer, and to direct the first episode should the series move to the pilot stage. Per the Hollywood Reporter, the project will be a potential companion to "The Walking Dead."

Netflix Picks Up 'The Killing' Season Three for Streaming, Connects with Facebook

Netflix has picked up exclusive streaming rights for the third season of the FOX TV mystery series "The Killing" after three months, which is a much shorter window than usual. And on Tuesday, the streaming service announced a new integration with Facebook that will make it even easier for people to find the Netflix content they want. It will allow Netflix to connect its U.S. subscribers to their Facebook friends to see what they’re watching.

AMC Sets Premiere Date for 'Mad Men' Season Six

AMC has set Sunday, April 7 as the premiere date for the sixth season of "Mad Men." As with Season Five, the 1960s ad men drama will debut at 9pm for a special two-hour premiere episode written and directed by showrunner Matthew Weiner.

'The Walking Dead' Loses Another Executive Producer, Will Show Chase Zombie Gore?

Yet again there is a creative parting of the ways on hugely popular AMC series "The Walking Dead," which the cabler is renewing for a fourth season. "The Walking Dead" series based on Robert Kirkman's zombie graphic novels was first created by writer-director Frank Darabont ("The Shawshank Redeption"), who left after Season One. After that AMC and remaining executive producer Gale Anne Hurd relied on exec producer and showrunner Glen Mazzara, who shepherded Season Two and Three.

Darabont Gets Greenlight for Six-Part TNT L.A. Noir Series with 'Walking Dead' Star Bernthal

Frank Darabont's new period crime drama, previously titled "L.A. Noir," has been picked up by TNT. This is no surprise, as Darabont created AMC's successful "The Walking Dead," from which he was booted (greed and ego were involved).
