The Sundance Institute has been awarded a $1 million, three-year grant from the Annenberg Foundation, which will provide support for the Institute's year-round creative and tactical programs for independent film artists. The Annenberg's past support of the Institute, the Film Fellows Program from 2004-2011, helped support projects such as Sean Durkin's "Martha Marcy May Marlene," Dee Rees' "Pariah" and Behn Zeitlin's "Beasts of the Southern Wild."
