Now this is exciting: Lynne Ramsay ("We Need To Talk About Kevin," "Morvern Callar," "Ratcatcher") will direct last year's Oscar-winner, Natalie Portman, in "Jane Got a Gun." The Western, written by Brian Duffield, was on the Black List. Portman will also produce the CAA-packaged project, which ignited a bidding war in Cannes, reports THR.

Ridley Scott has an idea for a sequel to his classic 1982 film "Blade Runner," and the original's writer Hampton Fancher is in talks to put it into action on paper. Scott and Alcon Entertainment say only that the story would pick up "some years after the first film concluded."
