Portman & Butler Win Elizabeth Taylor/Richard Burton Poll for Scorsese's Furious Love

Portman & Butler Win Elizabeth Taylor/Richard Burton Poll for Scorsese's Furious Love
It will be no easy task to cast legends Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Last week we invited you to play dreamcast with us, voting for the actors to play Taylor and Burton in Martin Scorsese's adaptation of their tempestuous love affair and chronicled in Furious Love. The results are in, and despite being completely out of the running until June 24, Natalie Portman surged to the top to join Gerard Butler. We initially paired the two together, stating: "If anyone can raise Portman’s temperature, it would be Butler. He’d have to step up and bring some depth to the rugged masculinity he so easily depicts. Portman probably has this in her, but it won’t come naturally." Second and third place winners, our picks and the complete poll results are below:

The latest adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, from Italian director Carlo Carlei (1993's Flight of the Innocent), now has a Romeo for its Juliet. Hailee Steinfeld will be joined by 19-year old Brit Douglas Booth, who is prettier than she is. Clearly this movie is targeted to a young girl demo.

Hamm & McCarthy for Feig/Apatow Comedy, Thornton Casts Jayne Mansfield's Car, Casting Misfires

- With Universal's Bridesmaids sitting at $126.8 million worldwide, the studio is wasting little time inking their next project with director Paul Feig and producer Judd Apatow. While the story is yet to be named, reportedly the film will follow a man who is obsessed with a woman. The leads would be Bridesmaids' comedic standouts Jon Hamm and Melissa McCarthy. While their respective TV shows, Mad Men and Mike & Molly, couldn't be more tonally different, their opposing senses of humor could be a recipe for success.
