Christian Bale is reportedly in talks to star in "Everest," with Baltasar Kormakur (Iceland's Oscar entry "The Deep") attached to direct. The Working Title/Universal project centers on the tragic true story of a 1996 expedition during which two groups attempted to reach the mountain's summit.
