COLCOA Review: Isabelle Huppert Is All Strength in 'Abuse of Weakness'

The title of the film may be “Abuse of Weakness,” but Isabelle Huppert’s performance as a filmmaker who suffers a stroke and then gets willingly conned by an ex-con is nothing but strong and steely-nerved. Which, of course, is to be expected from one of film’s best living actresses.

COLCOA Opening Night in Los Angeles Fetes Director Claude Lelouch

The line was out the door Monday evening at the DGA Theater on Sunset Boulevard as ticket-holders eagerly awaited COLCOA's opening night gala, a lavish fete followed by a screening of Claude Lelouch's "We Love You, You Bastard," a quaint French family drama that juggles romance, melodrama and mystery with the help of an eclectic acting ensemble.

COLCOA 2014 Lineup Includes New Films from Polanski, Breillat, Ozon and More (TRAILERS)

The Franco-American Cultural Fund has announced the lineup for the 18th edition of the City of Lights, City of Angels (COLCOA) film festival. Running April 21-28 at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles, the fest will present 41 features, including three international premieres, and many North American and US premieres. Wes Anderson Selects Louis Malle's 'The Fire Within' for Carte-Blanche Programming Screening at COL*COA 2013
