WATCH: Striking First Trailer for David Fincher's 'Gone Girl,' Who'll Direct Jobs Biopic?

After rolling out some footage at CinemaCon, David Fincher's "Gone Girl," starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, has a first trailer. In classic Fincher trailer fashion, the spot has an arresting song (a cover of Elvis Costello's "She"-- itself a cover of the Charles Aznavour original -- by Richard Butler of the Psychedelic Furs) playing throughout.

David Fincher In Early Talks to Helm Aaron Sorkin's Steve Jobs Biopic

Following their collaboration on "The Social Network," it seems that director David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin (who scored a Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar for the film) will re-team. Sorkin's Steve Jobs biopic script, based on Walter Isaacson's bestselling biography, is reportedly poised to have Fincher at the helm.

David Fincher's 'Gone Girl' Set for October 2014 Release UPDATED

UPDATE: David Fincher's big-screen adaptation of Gillian Flynn's mystery thriller "Gone Girl," starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, has settled on a release date. It's slated for October 3, 2014. This is the same weekend Fincher's Oscar-winning "The Social Network" (for Adapted Screenplay, Editing and Original Score) hit theaters in 2010.
