Drunken Irish Alien Flick 'Grabbers' Goes to IFC Midnight

IFC Midnight is taking Jon Wright's "Grabbers" for North and Latin American distribution. The film, which debuted at Sundance, stars Richard Coyle, Ruth Bradley, Russell Tovey, Lalor Roddy, David Pearse, and Bronagh Gallagher. IFC Films/Sundance Selects' Jonathan Sehring calls the film "a great time at the movies and an ingenious update of the classic monster movie." Variety says it is "polished, watchable genre entertainment" and it currently has a B- on CriticWire. Check out the synopsis below:

Weekend Preview: Horror Rules the Weekend with 'Woman in Black,' 'Kill List' and 'Innkeepers'; Madonna's 'W.E' Lands

This week, your best bets for weekend theater-going are all films that aim to thrill and chill. Sundance Deal Update: 'Simon Killer,' 'Chasing Ice,' 'The Pact'

Horror Sleeper 'The Devil Inside' Jump Starts New Year's Box Office, 'Dragon Tattoo' and "Tinker Tailor' Deliver

Call it a New Year's surprise. The ultra-low budget horror film "The Devil Inside" from Paramount Insurge caught the industry off guard and racked up an estimated $34.5 million to possess the top spot while averaging a stout $15,098 per theater.
