Miles Teller is taking on a film that is being sold in Berlin that veers close to his own experience. On January 8, Martin Scorsese sat down with Wong Kar-wai at New York's Lighthouse Theatre to talk the latter's "The Grandmaster," shortlisted for a Best Foreign-Language Film Oscar. Incredibly, Wong has yet to receive a nomination from the Academy. But that could be rectified this coming Thursday, when the 2014 nominations list will be rolled out bright and early at 5:38am PST.

Martin Scorsese was in good humor on January 6's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where he addressed the heated controversy surrounding his big-screen adaptation of Jordan Belfort's memoir, "The Wolf of Wall Street." The director told Kimmel's sidekick Guillermo that despite any reports to the contrary, no werewolves are to be found in the film.
