Sixteen Classic Werner Herzog Films Will Be Streaming on Fandor

Herzog fans, rejoice. Fandor has attained exclusive streaming rights for no less than 16 (!) of the German auteur's films. "Aguirre the Wrath of God" has its bow on April 10, with one new title launching each week through July 2014.

Emily Blunt in Talks to Star in Denis Villeneuve's Next Film

Sundance Introduces Its First Episodic Story Lab, Set for Fall 2014

To state the obvious, the world of episodic content is trending in a major way. Following on the heels of SXSW showcasing its first Episodic program, the Sundance Institute has unveiled an expansion in its Labs program to include the first Episodic Story Lab, set to be held in Fall 2014 at the Sundance Resort in Utah.

Sundance Institute Opens Call for Proposals for $125K TED Filmmaker Prize

The Sundance Institute and TED now have an open call for proposals for their second collaboration, which will jointly award $125,000 for a short documentary film project about the work of the 2014 TED Prize winner -- Charmain Gooch, co-founder and director of Global Witness.

Sofia Coppola to Direct Live-Action 'The Little Mermaid'

Filming Begins on World War I True Story 'Testament of Youth,' Starring Kit Harington and Alicia Vikander

Filming has kicked off on World War I drama "Testament of Youth," starring Kit Harington ("Pompeii," "Game of Thrones") and Alicia Vikander ("A Royal Affair"). Helmed by Brit TV director James Kent, the film tells the true story of Vera Brittain, who delayed her studies at Oxford to be a nurse during the war; she then had to keep her life together after both her fiance and brother were killed in battle.
