Rome Film Festival and Ennio Morricone Honor Quentin Tarantino with Lifetime Achievement Award

The seventh Rome Film Festival will honor Quentin Tarantino with a Lifetime Achievement Award on January 4, at a gala screening of "Django Unchained." Legendary composer Ennio Morricone ("Once Upon a Time in the West," "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"), who wrote an original song for "Django," will present Tarantino with the award. That's one way to get the filmmaker to show up!

Russian Epic 'Waiting for the Sea' to Open Rome Film Festival, Jeff Nichols to Chair Competition Jury

Bakhtiar Khudojnazarov's "Waiting for the Sea" will open the 7th Rome Film Festival on November 9. Russian director and screenwriter Khudojnazarov, known for "Luna Papa," spent six years creating and filming "Waiting for the Sea." The Festival, which runs until November 17th, will be presided over by screenwriter and director Jeff Nichols ("Take Shelter," "Mud").

Walter Hill To Be Honored with First-Ever Maverick Director Award at Rome Film Festival
