Santa Barbara Film Fest: Ten Takeaways from Movers and Shakers Producers Panel, Award Winners

As the 28th Santa Barbara International Film festival wrapped 11 days of screenings, panels and awards events on Sunday, SBIFF executive director Roger Durling and programming director Michael Albright announced the fest awards winners at an invitation-only brunch ceremony.

Santa Barbara Festival to Open with 'Disconnect'; Honors DiCaprio with American Riviera Award

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival (January 24 - February 3) will open the 2013 fest with the U.S. premiere of "Disconnect," directed by Henry-Alex Rubin and starring Jason Bateman, Hope Davis, Frank Grillo, Paula Patton and Alexander Skarsgard. Additionally, Leonardo DiCaprio will receive the American Riviera Award on February 1, which recognizes an artist with a strong influence on American cinema.
