Oscar-winning cinematographer Janusz Kaminski directed 11 very short films for the New York Times Magazine, and the Times has a released a behind-the-scenes video of Kaminski directing the likes of Cate Blanchett, Robert Redford, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Oprah Winfrey, Adele Exarchopoulos, Forest Whitaker, Oscar Isaac, Greta Gerwig, Michael B. Jordan and Julia Louis-Dreyfus for the projects. Check it out, below.

WATCH: 'Gravity' Short by Jonas Cuaron Is Eligible as Oscar Live-Action Short (VIDEO)

Last time I saw "Gravity" co-writer Jonas Cuaron, I asked him when we could see the short "Aningaaq" that he made to accompany his father Alfonso's film, which is kicking ass at the box office all over the world ($500 million and counting) and is one of two Oscar frontrunners so far. He said they were working on it. And so they were.

WATCH: Rare Buster Keaton Footage Unearthed (VIDEO)

Historian Fernando Pena has made a rare find, reports Scott Foundas in Variety. Pena has unearthed an alternate European cut with French intertitles of silent comedy star Buster Keaton’s 1922 short “The Blacksmith," one of the countless two-reelers Keaton made for producer Joseph M. Schenck. This is an unusual case where two versions of the short--filmed with two side by side cameras-- are very different, including never before seen gags.
