Sumner Redstone Gives $650K to Global Poverty Project

The Global Poverty Project announced today that Viacom and CBS Corporation executive chairman Sumner Redstone's Charitable Foundation has donated $650K to aid its $100 million Global Action campaign.

Summer in Sun Valley: Moguls Convene at Herb Allen's, Murdoch Ducks

It's been hard for NewsCorp. chairman Rupert Murdoch to relax this week at investment banker Herb Allen's 29th annual Sun Valley mogul retreat, which launched July 5 and lasts for five days. Murdoch is under too much fire with the News of the World bugging scandal threatening to derail his long-planned BSkyB takeover bid--even after he opted to kill the tabloid.

Hollywood Mogul Robert Evans Inspires Broadway Show

It's no surprise that gravel-voiced Hollywood mogul Robert Evans--a one-time actor, studio head, memoirist and documentary subject--should inspire a stage play. Famed West End, opera and film director Sir Richard Eyre (Notes on a Scandal) is directing the Broadway production, which will be adapted from Evans' memoirs The Kid Stays in the Picture and The Fat Lady Sang by Jon Robin Baitz (The Substance of Fire). Smuggler Films has acquired the live stage rights.
