Focus Features Adds Kujawski to Sundance Acquisition Team

Universal Pictures is sending Executive Vice President of Worldwide Acquisitions Peter Kujawski to the Sundance Film Festival, which starts Thursday, to search for film acquisitions for not only the studio but specialized film division Focus Features. The studio wants to centralize and streamline its global acquisitions efforts.

French Distributor Haut et Court Picks Up 'Metro Manila' Ahead of Sundance Premiere

Haut et Court has taken the French distribution rights to Sean Ellis' thriller "Metro Manila" a couple weeks before the film's debut at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. Sundance Film Festival Reveals 2013 Jury Members, Including Ex-Fox Chairman Tom Rothman, Filmmaker Ed Burns

The Sundance Institute has revealed 19 members of five juries awarding prizes at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, January 17-27 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. The Short Film Awards will be presented on January 22 at Park City’s Jupiter Bowl, while the feature film awards will be given out at a ceremony on January 26. Returning to his indie roots is ex-Fox chairman Tom Rothman, who joins Edward Burns on the dramatic jury. Rothman discovered the indie writer-actor-director at Sundance 1995 with "The Brothers McMullen."
