Between its two weekends, CAAMFest adheres to a civilized program of evening screenings that begin at 6 pm or later and encourage you to see one or two movies an evening. Here's what I caught during the festival's closing weekend.

Why Indie Producer Ted Hope Is Taking Over as Fandor CEO

Having run the San Francisco Film Society as executive director for a year, indie producer Ted Hope is sticking with San Francisco. And despite recent protestations to the contrary, producing a few films is still in his future. But as of January 30 his main gig is CEO of Fandor, the curated online service for independent and international films.

Ted Hope Has 15 Predictions for the Future of Indie Film Over the Next 18 Months

I have written about the good things in indie film. I have done it quite a bit. I have written about the bad things, and more than several times there too. I have written about the thinkers and doers who are shaping where we are (and will post that later this month). I have examined the cultural changes, the realities of our industry, and provided recommended best practices. I examined why it is sooo slow to change. I would like to help us find our path forward; what more can I do to help?
