Fledgling Director Gillian Greene's 'Murder of a Cat' Is One to Watch at Tribeca

Fledgling director Gillian Greene's "Murder of a Cat" premieres next week at the Tribeca Film Festival. The off-beat comedy stars Fran Kranz as a manchild with a proto-Bieber haircut, various delusions, and who lives at home with his mother (Blythe Danner). Just coincidentally, all of Greene's children, ages 7 to 20, live with their mother.

Tribeca Adds Music Docs from Alex Gibney and 'Berberian Sound Studio' Director Peter Strickland

They can't have Tribeca without Alex Gibney. And so today's announcement that the prolific documentarian's newest film, an untitled James Brown doc, is a new addition to the upcoming 2014 fest makes sense. Also added to the lineup is another music-oriented doc, "Bjork: Biophilia Live," directed by Nick Fenton and Peter Strickland, and making its world premiere.
