Man Behind Michael Haneke Spoof Twitter Account Talks the Director's Taste in Movies, "Parms Dorz" and Stinky Cats LOL

Shortlist.com deputy editor Benjamin Lee is the man behind the spoof @Michael_Haneke Twitter account that kept more than 30K followers amused during the ramp-up to the Oscars, and the film's Best Foreign-Language win. Lee has a feature in the Guardian discussing his experience while running the Twitter handle, and a few surprising facts he learned about the real-life Austrian director. Highlights below.

The 2012 Black List of the Best Un-Produced Screenplays Will Be Revealed on Twitter

On Monday, Decemeber 17, the 2012 Black List will be announced via Twitter. The titles will be named in a random order every minute. Once all the titles have been named, the top 10 will be announced in reverse order. Then the complete list, along with loglines, will be available on the Black List's site.

Media Watch: Twitter Proves People Are Happiest on Weekends, Netflix vs. Amazon

Looking at a catalogue of real-time updates from Twitter, scientists at Cornell University were able to track mood changes throughout the day and week, and found confirmation of the obvious: people are happiest on their days off. Cornell University analyzed over 500 million Tweets from 2.4 million people, from 84 countries and using a computer program to look at words indicating positive or negative moods, found that positive attitudes peaked early in the morning and then again around midnight. Moods dipped in the middle of the workday and peaked on weekend mornings.
