Scarlett Johansson is Two for Two This Weekend as 'Under the Skin' Marks 2014's Second Best Limited Opener

Jonathan Glazer's well-reviewed Scarlett Johansson-starrer "Under the Skin" (A24) scored the best limited opening so far this year after the phenomenal "The Grand Budapest Hotel." Clocking less than 20% the latter film's start, "Under the Skin" still marked an impressive opening for a challenging and highly-stylized thriller.

Composer Mica Levi on Why Going 'Under the Skin' Was "Really Mental"

You won't hear a more gorgeously freaky score this year than Mica Levi's unnerving, scratchy and seductive music for Jonathan Glazer's "Under the Skin." Like the film, about an alien succubus-among-us in the comely guise of Scarlett Johansson, the score is weird, atonal, discordant and something to get lost in. She talks to TOH! about her writing process and working with Jonathan Glazer.

This Weekend, Watch Johansson and Gainsbourg Suck Men's Souls in 'Under the Skin' and 'Nymphomaniac: Volume II'

This weekend, catch sexy Scarlett Johansson in not one, but two films, and in two wildly different roles. While reviews are solid-gold for the Marvel sequel "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," in which she stars opposite the reassuringly bland charms of Chris Evans, you're unlikely to see a weirder, or better, movie than Jonathan Glazer's freaky-good succubus-from-space odyssey "Under the Skin."
