IDA Documentary Awards Honor 'The Square,' 'Armstrong Lie' Director Alex Gibney, Laura Poitras and More

The International Documentary Association unveiled their 2013 IDA Documentary Award winners at a ceremony Friday evening in Los Angeles. Top honors went to Jehane Noujaim's Egyptian revolution doc "The Square" for Best Feature, set to premiere on Netflix in January and currently sitting on the 2014 documentary Oscar shortlist.

A chronicle of Japanese artist Ushio Shinohara's chaotic 40-year marriage to his wife and assistant Noriko, the film is directed by Zachary Heinzerling.
