Check out this unused Inglourious Basterds poster submitted by James Goodridge and passed on by the Weinsteins.

The main reason Inglourious Basterds is playing so well is that writer-director Quentin Tarantino knows how to entertain us, not only with his movies but on the promo campaign trail. Check out his grindhouse classics and spaghetti westerns.

MTV Movies reports Five Things You Should Know about Inglourious Basterds, including whether or not there will be a sequel.

Here's his appearance on Charlie Rose.

I don't like that poster. It's too slick for a movie like this. And has way more violence than the movie does. The poster would be better suited to the type of all-star potboiler that Lord Lew Grade used to produce in the '70s and '80s, stuff like ESCAPE TO ATHENA, 1979, with Roger Moore, Telly Savalas, David Niven, Claudia Cardinale, Stefanie Powers, Sonny Bono, Richard Roundtree, and Elliott Gould. (Tarantino would certainly have loved that cast!)
