Five films are available online today: must-see "Semper Fi: Always Faithful," which is on the Oscar shortlist for Best Documentary, and is guaranteed to choke you up; Independent Spirit award-winner "Obselidia"; the 2007 film "Chasing Ghosts: Beyond the Arcade"; "Lord Byron," and the 1994 Sundance Grand Jury Award-winner "What Happened Was..."
A full list of titles to be available online for rent, download or streaming can be found on the Sundance website. The films to be released today are available on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu, SundanceNOW and YouTube, with Netflix availability starting on March 1.

This is fabulous...eliminate the crappy low-end distribution deals and give it all to the artist...meanwhile the higher dist. deals can stay in play and take films to theater and VOD...but kill the predator distributors who add zero value...excellent move.
