White-blonde actress and probable Oscar nominee Tilda Swinton might reprise her Ice Queen role in an upcoming feature--just not as Narnia native Jadis the White Witch. Swinton ("We Need to Talk About Kevin") and Jamie Bell ("The Adventures of Tintin") are in talks to join Chris Evans ("Captain America") in Bong Joon-ho's "Snow Piercer."
"Snow Piecer" is based on Jacques Lob's French post-apocalyptic graphic novel, "Le Transperceniege." In"Snow Piercer," the world's surface is coated in a thick layer of frost. A group of voyagers aboard a train must figure out a new way to survive in the new Ice Age.
South Korean director Bong Joon-Ho's track record in Korea of dark, complex, striking films--like "The Host" and "Memories of Murder"--certainly attracted these A-list stars for his first American feature, reports the Playlist. Variety reports that production is set to start in March.
