  Tree of Life Never played anywhere near me... Extremely weak year for Best Picture, and Oscars overall...

  This year the biggest surprise to me is the documentary category. I thought some of the best and most informative films in 2011 were documentaries. Why is there some special voting procedure for them and not for other categories? It's mystifying!

  The way this is set up is really time-consuming. It should let us vote for each category and then press one button, "Submit," to register all the votes. Instead, you have to go through the whole process for EACH category. It takes the fun out of it.
