Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke in "Before Midnight"

Check out this new clip from Richard Linklater's brilliant "Before Midnight" (May 24), in which long-term partners Celine (Julie Delpy) and Jesse (Ethan Hawke), graced with a few moments alone away from their children, get to discuss their relationship dynamics while strolling through a small town in Greece. "Sometimes I feel like I'm breathing oxygen and you're breathing helium," Celine snarks at Jesse. Watch below.

"Before Midnight" is the third installment in Linklater's romance trilogy starring Delpy and Hawke as a pair of loquacious lovers who, over the course of 18 years, meet, part and then come together again to, for better or worse, form a family. The film rightfully received raves out of its Sundance premiere; despite (or due to) the nine-year gaps between films, the quality of the series and its attention to realistic demands in relationships remains top-notch.

Linklater, Delpy and Hawke, who receive co-writing credit for the film (as they did on 2004's "Before Sunset"), discuss the collaboration process in our TOH! interview out of the Berlin Film Festival
