Helen Hunt and John Hawkes Star in "The Sessions" Fox Searchlight
The first trailer for Ben Lewin's Sundance winner (Audience Award and Special Jury Prize for Ensemble Acting) has landed with a new title, "The Sessions." Previously known as "The Surrogate" (a title we actually prefer), the true story stars John Hawkes as Mark O'Brien (living with polio), Helen Hunt as his sex surrogate Cheryl, and William H. Macy as Father Brendan. At Sundance, we dubbed it "nuanced and delicate" and currently predict it to be an Oscar contender; it sits at 100% Fresh.
