When an incarcerated suspect, thought accountable for five dead bodies, tells the cops to "get Jack Reacher," the search is on for the mysterious military captain gone rogue. Reacher (Cruise) finds himself on the run and kicking ass as he's stalked for a crime he knows nothing about. Rosamund Pike plays a local defense attorney representing the sniper who frames Reacher.
The film is adapted from the fictional literary character created by Brit author Jim Grant (who used the pen name Lee Child).
Paramount releases the film Decemer 21, a time frame that worked well for Cruise's last hit, "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocall."
