Trailer Watch: Ken Watanabe in Japanese Remake of Eastwood's 'Unforgiven'

"Yurusarezaru mono"
Check out the first teaser trailer for the Ken Watanabe remake of Clint Eastwood's classic 1992 Western "Unforgiven." The teaser for "Yurusarezaru mono" is entirely in Japanese, but the expansive, richly hued visuals -- here set in 1880s Japan -- evoke the grim, lonesome feel of the original, and Watanabe seems an apt choice for stepping into Eastwood's hardscrabble shoes.

The film is helmed by Lee Sang-il ("Villain") and produced by Warner Japan. It hits theaters in Japan in the fall; no word yet on US distribution.
