Trailer Watch: Valentine's Day will be 'A Good Day to Die Hard' with Bruce Willis as John McClane

"A Good Day to Die Hard" comes out February 14. Romantic cynics might appreciate this, as Valentine's Day can be a good day to die hard.

The trailer for "A Good Day to Die Hard," the fifth installment in the Bruce Willis franchise, has landed. For this outing, John McClane heads to Moscow, where he encounters his grown-up son (Jai Courtney), babes seductively stripping off motorcycle gear and a few gigantic windows to bust through. As the tagline says, "Yippee Ki-Yay Mother Russia."

Mary Elizabeth Winstead also makes an appearance in a role slightly less emotionally demanding than her AA character in "Smashed."

The film releases February 14, 2013. Romantic cynics might appreciate this: Valentine's Day can be a good day to die hard.

Thompson on Hollywood

Born and raised in Manhattan, Anne Thompson grew up going to the Thalia and The New Yorker and wound up at grad Cinema Studies at NYU. She worked at United Artists and Film Comment before heading west as that magazine's west coast editor. She wrote for the LA Weekly, Sight and Sound, Empire, The New York Times and Entertainment Weekly before serving as West Coast Editor of Premiere. She wrote for The Washington Post, The London Observer, Wired, More, and Vanity Fair, and did staff stints at The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. She eventually took her blog Thompson on Hollywood to Indiewire. She taught film criticism at USC Critical Studies, and continues to host the fall semester of “Sneak Previews” for UCLA Extension.
