"To Rome with Love."
Woody Allen's "To Rome with Love" looks more like "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" than "Midnight in Paris," which is bad news. It would be difficult to top the charm of "Midnight," even with a luscious Penelope Cruz.

Despite the tourist setting, "Rome"'s interwoven quirky romantic narratives and sprawling ensemble--including Allen himself as well as Alec Baldwin, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig, Ellen Page, Judy Davis and Roberto Benigni--doesn't sell quite as easily as the romantic literary Paris nostalgia of "Midnight."

Italy gets the first bite of "Rome" on April 20 (which precludes a Cannes bow), while the US will wait until June 22. Check out the trailer below.

    It's Roberto Benigni, not "Begnini."

You know what's bad news? Making pronouncements about the supposed quality of a film based on the trailer.
