Writer-director John Curran (The Painted Veil, writer of The Killer Inside Me) has directed the new thriller Stone, which is is set for an October 2010 release. Edward Norton, who starred in The Painted Veil, co-stars with Robert De Niro. This is yet another Overture film which may or may not get the support it needs. Originally set for wide release, the film will go out October 8 in limited situations.

I am surprised to see Milla Jovovich in this company. Have never thought of her as a serious actress but then again I haven't seen Million Dollar Hotel (because I am not a fan of Wenders anymore).
Trailer looks relatively intriguing though. And it has Frances Conroy from Six Feet Under.

The trailer is cut together well and makes "Stone" engaging. Hopefully the trailer won't be better than the movie, as is so often the case with prison films such as this.

I read your header as "De Niro and Stone in 'Norton.'" Leading me to assume Sharon Stone was due for a comeback as Trixie to De Niro's Ed Norton, sans Ralph and Alice Kramden.
