If anybody could do it, it's Michelle Williams. Check out the first trailer for My Week with Marilyn, featuring what looks to be a knockout performance by Williams as icon Marilyn Monroe. I'll seeing the film at its gala premiere at the New York Film Festival on Sunday, October 9. Williams is an Oscar perennial, so she should never be counted out of the Best Actress Oscar race.

Anne Thompson, I know you are a huge Michelle Williams fan, so it is obvious you are blinded by your love for Ms. Williams. Michelle did not make me believe she was Marilyn Monroe. Like you say, she is fake . Her Marilyn's speaking voice is fake and her mannerisms of Ms. Monroe are fake. Williams doesn't capture Monroe's charisma nor her magic. Now, Poppy Montgomery pulled -off a good Marilyn Monroe.

Well, I'm not really impressed with the voice, but she wiggles a lot more like Marilyn than I was anticipating!
