Fred Astaire in "Ghost Story"
"Mutants, Ghosts and Devils!" week continues at Trailers from Hell, today with writer Mick Garris introducing "Ghost Story," a big-budget adaptation of the Peter Straub chiller that never made the blockbuster cut due to the "geriatric nature of the cast" (including an 82-year-old Fred Astaire).

Peter Straub's popular 1979 scarefest was considered one of the finest horror novels of the late 20th century by Stephen King. Its high-profile big studio movie adaptation was appreciated in many circles but hardly a boxoffice blockbuster, perhaps due to the geriatric nature of the cast.
