Let's get lost: Turner Classic Movies has posted a cool--and vast--collection of classic trailers to browse and watch.

And Joe Dante collects a different order of pre-feature promos at Trailers from Hell.

The Big Heat airs on TCM at 9:45 PM Eastern Thursday, see trailer below. (Carrie Rickey tributes the great Gloria Grahame here.)

And Cecil B. De Mille talks up The Greatest Show on Earth (I've never seen this one), on at 11:30 PM Eastern.

You should see THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH (1952). It's arguably the worst Best Picture Oscar winner in history. I'm fascinated by Betty Hutton because she was so talented, but incredibly irritating in most of her film appearances. Preston Sturges knew how to use her to best advantage, as seen in MIRACLE AT MORGAN'S CREEK. Too bad she didn't get to work with more directors like him. DeMille just lets her be annoying for two-&-1/2 hours. And Heston's not much better in this. Thank DeMille that he and Heston found better source material in the Old Testament for their next collaboration.
