Tribeca Announces 2013 Festival Dates, Call for Submissions; New Transmedia Program

The Tribeca Film Festival's twelfth edition will be held in New York City from April 17-28, 2013.

The festival also reveals submission dates for narrative and documentary features as well as short films (below). Their new transmedia program will also launch at the 2013 festival. The program and accompanying awards will "celebrate new trends in digital media and recognize these transmedia creators who employ an innovative, interactive, web-based or multi-platform approach to story creation." Creators are invited to submit their work for consideration. Joining the festival programming team to collaborate on this new program is Ingrid Kopp, Tribeca's director of Digital Initiatives.

Deadlines to submit to the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival:

September 17, 2012 – SUBMISSIONS OPEN
October 19, 2012 – EARLY DEADLINE: FEATURES, SHORTS AND TRANSMEDIA PROJECTS
November 30, 2012 – OFFICIAL DEADLINE, ALL FEATURES, SHORTS AND TRANSMEDIA PROJECTS
December 28, 2012 – LATE DEADLINE, AVAILABLE TO FEATURE LENGTH FILMS ONLY
