Tribeca Film Fest 2015 Unveils Call for Submissions & Key Dates, with Filmmaking Tips from Ron Howard (VIDEO)

Gearing up for its 14th year, the Tribeca Film Festival has revealed its 2015 schedule, including key dates and a call for submissions. Plus, director Ron Howard offers a few words of wisdom to Tribeca hopefuls.

The 14th annual Tribeca Film Festival has announced its key dates for 2015, as well as its call for submission.

Held in, as always, New York City, the fest will run April 15 to April 26. Filmmakers can submit their narrative features, documentary features, short films and transmedia projects to Tribeca beginning September 15. Here's the rundown:

September 15, 2014: SUBMISSIONS OPEN for features, shorts, transmedia projects

October 17, 2014: EARLY DEADLINE for feature and short films

November 26, 2014: OFFICIAL ENTRY DEADLINE for features, shorts, transmedia  projects

December 24, 2014: LATE ENTRY DEADLINE for feature length world-premiere films only

Submissions rules and regulations and complete information regarding eligibility for the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival are now available at www.tribecafilm.com/festival/submissions.

Expect lineups to start trickling down in late winter or early spring 2015. Along with the wave of announcements comes a short video from director Ron Howard, who offers a few words of wisdom to filmmakers who want to submit to Tribeca. Watch below.
